Antonius Fashion Performance announces open contest for fashion designs. The contest takes place in 2 categories: fashion collection and accessoires’ collection.

In 2015 Antonius Fashion Performance (AFP) celebrates its 3rd bithday already. AFP will take place in Antonius Courtyard in Tartu on June 12, 2015.

1. AFP is open to individual designers as well as teams. Participants must be adults and collections must have been made or be in the process of making during the last 6 months.

2. The contest has 2 categories:pilt1
2.1 fashion collections including 6–8 outfits
and/or
2.2 accessoires’ collections including 6–8 items.

3. In order to participate the description of the concept of the collection, sketches and information about the authors must be presented in the following order:

  • What is the purpose of the collection? Vision? Why? For whom?
  • The description of the concept of the collection on a separate A4 sheet containing information about the title, inspiration and message of the collection. Max number of words: 200.
  • Sketches/fashion designs on A4 sheets of the entire collection. Each outfit must be completed with a technical drawing + description of the used fabrics. Sketches/fashion designs must be accurately be presented, each outfit on a separate sheet. Free choice of technique.
  • One A4 sheet with all outfits of the collection together.
  • 2 photographs of the enrolled collection (in case it is ready) or 2 photographs of the previous collection. The photographs do not have to be high-quality fashion photographs. Requirements for photographs: jpg-format, min resolution 1600x1200 pixels or 2,1 megapixels.
  • Name(s), address(es), contacts and CV(s) of the author(s) of the collection.

4. All required documents must be uploaded in Dropbox (www.dropbox.com). An application to participate at the sketch contest of AFP together with the link of the shared documents must be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..


The deadline of presenting the sketches is March 1, 2015 at 23.59.
The names of the finalists will be announced in the end of March 2015 at www.loovtartu.ee/moeetendus and the participants will be informed in writing.

TIME SCHEDULE AFTER THE JURY HAS MADE ITS DECISION 

The author of the collection must guarantee that at least one of the outfits of the collection to be presented at AFP will be ready and delivered to the organizers of AFP by April 24, 2015. The address of delivery will be announced on AFP webpage and all participants will also be informed in writing. The author guarantees that the outfit will reach the organizers who will use it for promoting the author of the collection as well as AFP. The entire collection must be ready by June 5, 2015 the latest.

JURY AND PRIZES

Grand prize for fashion collection is 1000 Euros. The winner will have the opportunity to present the collection and one stand at Estonian fashion exhibition in EXPO 2015 pavilion in Milan in September 2015. 2015.
Grand prize for accessoires’ collection is €500.
The jury will be made of the representatives of Tartu Centre for Creative Industries, Incubator Tallinn, Tartu Art College, sponsors and supporters as well as renowned local and international fashion experts.

During the first meeting of the jury
•    up to 13 fashion collections and
•    up to 8 accessoires’ collections that will not be shown  on the stage of Antonius Fashion Performance  but at an exhibition connected to the performance will be selected. The jury will make its second selection during the Antonius Fashion Performance when the winners of grand prizes, special prizes and sponsors’ awards will be announced.
